LOL @Sarah! That was my first thought, too! From now on, I'm naming my pets after food. Although, I always wanted a Great Dane or a St. Bernard, just to name it "Kitty". And to watch the confused neighbors when I call, "Here, Kitty, Kitty!" and a giant dog comes running. :P

My dog's name it Tater Tot. She was a rescue with the name of Tatum, which we never really liked, so we called her Tater. She is creamy white with toasted golden tips. A husky mutt.

This is Dawson. Hubby always wanted a lab, and when Dawson needed a foster family, he put in an application based on Dawson's picture and description. He drove out to the animal rescue late one night, because the new dogs were arriving around 10 pm or so. Dawson traveled from Colorado to Ohio, where he was examined, vaccinated, and chipped, then up to Minnesota. When they opened his kennel, he trotted down the ramp into a big room of people waiting to meet their fosters. He walked directly to Hubby and sat down in front of him. He is such a good buddy. So, his name evolved to Buddy Guy. Unless he eats the butter off the counter, or jumps up on the table -- then he's DAWson!!
