I've got to figure out a way to eat more protein. Good grief.

LOL. don't sweat it! how many g are you shooting for? the only way I could do it was to go lower fat meats. the 80/20 beef is great but I ended up with too much fat not enough protein. I'm still on the low end

I eat smoothies in the morning with peanut butter powder or hemp powder.

jenjabba I'm shooting for a daily macro goal of: Fat: 152g Protein: 80-91g Carbs: 0-10g My goal weight is: 125-120lbs. I'm just not hungry until about 1:30-2 p.m. I've been trying to force 2MAD, but I feel awful when I do. As though, I've eaten a 2nd Thanksgiving dinner. Maybe when I increase my activity level and begin muscle building exercises, my hunger will kick in. But I don't know. What do you think?

TheDoerle Hey! I really appreciate your suggestion. However, I am trying to avoid oxalates and just do an anti-inflammatory diet that eliminates everything that is causing painful symptoms. Otherwise, I'd love a good smoothie! It sounds delicious. You are very lucky. :))

Long reply. Hope that's OK. And when we burn fat we also break down connective tissue which has protein. . Don't worry about macros right now. Like Dr Berry stated, eat till not hungry. He said don't track food, but ya know I'm going to do that 🤣 only use it as a reference. If you don't eat enough that's fine. Your days will fluctuate! Don't force feed. I just had 5 oz of beef and 1 oz cheese and I'm very full. Now, about the protein powder. Don't do it. IMO. I donated plasma on a regular basis last year. My protein was low after a donation. They test your protein levels every session. So, i drank about 50g of protein powder and my levels were still low. N=1, So, i had i nice bowl of ground beef the day before my next donation and walla my levels were great. I tried FISH and it didn't bring up my protein levels. Went back to beef and my levels were great again. I was puzzled. I looked around on the internet and found the protein shake are not absorbed the same. It was an article in some muscle magazine. Very interesting how big food is involved making protein bars and shakes. Last point. I don't eat a ton of protein and my levels were great when donating as long as I ate beef. Go figure!

Lol...I certainly don't mind. I welcome what you have to say. Yeah, I just want to stick to real food, not manufactured food. That's very curious about the differences in protein levels between beef and fish. You'd think that protein is protein from an animal. I think I'm just going to stop stressing about hitting target macros and just eat simple meals on the repeat. Just really simplify and eat until I'm full. Dr. Berry is a great source of information and very solid in nutritional knowledge. Lastly, thanks for calming me down about not getting stressed out about eating alot of protein. I appreciate it. I hope you are doing well today. You've really helped me out alot today.

And watch Dr Shawn Bakers Podcast channel. The most amazing interviews . He's snarkry on his other channel. But I love it. Ya, i was worried i was not eating enough protein till I had it tested every week. Doing good. Head still on my pillow 🤣 I'm going to try to walk.

I love Dr. Shawn Baker. His sense of humor...hehehe. But he is really knowledgeable. His workouts are...well, wow! Beast-mode. Yeah, I think the fresh air and sunshine will make you feel a little relief, even if you aren't out for long, just feeling a breeze is refreshing. I do hope you get some relief and feel better.

Fun fact, Doc baker was doing carnivore before Berry. BERRY copied him 🤣 Berry also said he'd never lift weights, now he's doing some .

Now, that is interesting. I didn't know that. I hope Dr. Berry really embraces it and promotes it.
