Last time I weighted was march 5th at the dr office I was 217...I've been watching what I eat for 2 wks now..salad everday for lunch, more protein(chicken) and hardly no bread at all, no crackers & milk like I love at night...today I dusted off my scales that I have not used in a long time, because when I estimated I maybe gained about 5 lbs the other day in my journal, I thought why guess you been doing better...so I stepped on the scale and it said 230! I almost passed out...I am hoping the battery needs changed and it was wrong..first time Ive ever tried to lose and gained over 10 lbs..anyway either way I'm depressed but I'm awake and gotta do this..Now that I can breathe better since the furnace tried to kill me..lol I have no excuses..Back to my treadmill walks daily and cutting back on my calories!...230...never in my..life...I wanna cry..but I aint gonna...I'm gonna get MAD AS HELL..

It's okay to be frustrated I think we've all been frustrated or upset when we stepped on the scale and not seeing the number we wanted too. Although changing your habits for just 2 weeks is not a very long amount of time particularly if you haven't weighed in since March that is a lot of time to go astray. You're correct not only could your batteries be running low it could be that you've set something on the scale itself and just need to take the batteries out and put them back in. I do this every time I go to weigh in because the children are always putting things on the scale that don't belong and it messes up the calibration for some reason it can make the scale be off as much as 3 to 5 lb so I always do this. Also I do recommend to take measurements because they will show you changes in your body that the scale will not for example it could be that you are weighing in as a heavier weight because you're eating more vegetables and water dense foods but you're not actually any heavier if that makes any sense its just the food you are currently eating is heavier and more dense and currently you haven't expelled it from your body yet. You may have just happen to have weighed at a time where you've eaten one of those water dense foods or eaten something salty and are retaining water. Other bits of advice that I would give you is to take multiple weight measurements throughout the week or over the course of 2 weeks and average them together to get a better idea of what you really weigh so you aren't weighing your food and rather have a better idea of what you yourself way. Either way you changing less positive behaviors for better habits is great 😃 and you should be happy that you are making strides to overcome poor health habits regardless of the short-term success or not over the course of time your efforts will show both inside and out. I think 🤔 you are doing great 😁. Keep at it!

ok ty for the advice!!! I will and I will change the batteries and hope for the best but if all else fails I will keep on the grind! ty!!
