I had an old one that I didn't like. It seemed to make a lot of pulp and was very hard to clean. Maybe the newer models are better? 

Lots of my friends have them and love them. I have a Nutribullet and a high end blender and rarely use either one. A Vitamix would not be worth it to me but I tend to think you would have a lot more use for one. My doctor does not recommend drinking calories so no smoothies and other such things for me. I have tons of unused small appliances and find myself wanting an air fryer. I think I would use one of those. 

I know several people that love theirs, and at least say they do not regret their purchase. After much contemplation, I decided to go with a higher end ninja blender model (not as powerful as vitamix I know) and love it! For my needs it does the trick. We use ours almost daily, for smoothies, soups, dips etc, and cost a fraction of the price. Depends I guess how often and for what you wanna use it for, how often, etc.  

But I do love the idea of a gift to yourself!! ☺️  

Morticia, my daughter gave me an air fryer a couple of years ago and we use it constantly. My only suggestion might be to get one big enough. My bestie got a smaller one and it's too small for everything. 

Definitely! I got a refurbished one over 6 years ago from Amazon. Still running great. 

I don't do a lot of smoothies, but I'm looking for something more powerful than what we have for things like hummus and nice cream. I fear I'm killing the inexpensive food processor we just bought making nice cream  

Alas...doubt I'll be able to talk the husband into it.

I do. Get it. They have refurbished ones on the site with good warranty. And you don’t need any of the extra stuff. Mine is almost twenty years old, nothing digital, it’s just a solid machine. 

Nut butters, grinding flour for your bread, and that protein ice cream you see me make from cottage cheese and fruit when it’s warm. And soup. No idea why this is back in my feed, but extra thoughts this morning. 

I don't have one,but when you get yourself one let me know if you like it.  

You guys are selling me on it. Now if I could only sell the husband on it 😕
