It took until I was 64 y/o, to finally learn how to boil an egg, so they are actually easy to peel... better late than never I guess.

Put them into the water when it is near boiling, I do a ten minute boil, then out of the hot water and into ice cold water until they are cooled. Not only do they peel easily, but they are more tender. I have done it a few times now with really fresh eggs, which are notoriously hard to peel, and no problems so far.

it does make it easier you are correct there. I've been doing that for a few years but like I told you before I leave em in longer just because I need to know the egg yolk is cooked

yes,, it works.. putting them into cold water does the trick.. shock the shell.

Yes Nraka, I was using cold tapwater, but it seems it wasn't cold enough, so now I use water from my fridge/cooler, it is nearly ice, works like a charm.

Thank you I’m going to try ice water. I also shake the boiled hot egg in a sealed plastic container of cold water so I barely touch a shell - it peels itself!
