Just FYI, I wouldn’t count the protein as significant though because it’s an incomplete protein. It doesn’t have all the essential amino acids needed to count as a good source of protein. Nice it has no carbs though! That’s why I eat them. Crunch factor and 0 carbs!

@SG - interesting! I had to look up incomplete proteins and was quite surprised at the list. Nuts, seeds and legumes are considered incomplete also. I don’t eat much of any of these and get my complete protein from meat and dairy. Learned something new!

They are tasty but their protein is not complete so don't eat them because of that. Similar to BCAA scam drinks, they are missing essential amino acids that are required to build and repair muscle.

No worries, when you eat incomplete proteins you don’t rely on it to complete yourself goals. Treat it as extras or count a 3rd of it. Much like most plant proteins. Think of the essential aminos as a chain, even when it’s missing just 1 link it cannot go into mps. Think of the amino acids as Tetris blocks. You can have a lot of the same blocks but if you’re missing a certain shape you cannot complete the line. Hope that makes sense 🤔

@SG - this is great information. I usually go over my protein goal but will definitely keep this in mind now that I know because sometimes I will eat some almonds to make sure I hit my target but I should reach for cottage cheese instead!

I don't eat them often but when I do it's for the crunch value, not the protein but I didn't know about the protein info either.

Pork rinds make a good low carb snack, but I've noticed that some brands contain MSG, which is a neurotoxin found in foods like flavored chips.
I also like the Wilde protein chips, but don't buy them often because they're expensive and processed.

I normally get the plain ones but once in awhile something different is fun. I don’t hardly ever eat chips so this is my crunch go to.

I grind them in the blender and use them to coat chicken livers etc. for frying.
