It does take some getting used to. I remember when I first started, it was hard to face the reality of the foods I was choosing & the portions I was eating of them. I didn't want to believe that I was eating 400 calories of rice in one sitting on a regular basis!!! But the more willing you are to be honest with yourself about stuff like that & log it anyway, the more you learn to forgive yourself & even give yourself permission to indulge responsibly. It's a process, no one does it perfectly at first, but you gotta start somewhere. One thing that made it easier for me was taking a few minutes the night before to plan out the entire next day. Even if I swapped out a bunch of stuff, having that framework in place gave me some parameters to work with. Something to think about. :)
