My brand new weights to go with the 10-minute upper body Popsugar workout I found on YouTube. They look purplish in this light, but in reality they're hot pink -- I suppose to remind me what a weak girly girl I am that I can only do 5 pound at this point. LOL ;) I've seen a few derisive comments in my life about women with their "little pink handweights." Still, it's a start and these are all I can do with this workout at the moment (and I still had to modify some of the exercises). I feel like I've won the battle of the kitchen to take off the weight. I could still stand to lose a few more, but I'm not at a bad spot and I think I may want to maintain for a while and focus on exercise. That said... I saw 129 on the scale this morning! First time I've broken 130! My weekly average (which I use as my official weight) is still hovering around 131, and yesterday I hiked and ate pretty lightly so "results not typical," but it was still fun to see :D The taped together things on the side were each a couple of one-pounders I scavenged from my leg weight set that I used the first time I tried the workout, but they were woefully inadequate. Now that I bought them...took the worst bike crash of my life today. Right shoulder took the brunt of it. It hurts to lift my coffee cup. Don't think I'll be doing any upper body workouts for a few days ☹

We all start somewhere. Never compare yourself to anyone only yourself. I can guarantee, if you’re consistent, in six months you will no longer be lifting these!! 💪🏻🤗

I just tried out 5 pound weights since I was feeling strong with my 3-pounders, and it was ha-a-r-rd! More power to you, strong girly woman!
