Today was a failure. Junk food, junk food and more junk food.

Tomorrow is a new day.

My commitment for tomorrow:
1) healthy, nutritious meals
2) cardio and stretching
3) 64 oz water

Any tips to deal with discouragement?

What I do is pray and ask God to help me I hope that helps.

I just focus on moving on. Stay focused and forward facing. Don't look back.

I grade myself. I've had 0 bad days in 3 months, so A+, definitely. In June, I had 12 not great days (though not complete junk food blow-outs). C- for June. May, A+. So I'm still an A- student the past four months. It isn't the one day. It's letting the one day turn into 2 or 5 or 500. You're human. Humans screw up; it's our nature. Do well from this moment on.

Is there still more junk food in your kitchen? Throw it away. Put it down the garbage disposal. Might feel scary at first, but the relief afterwards is palpable. Take control!

I've been doing Keto for nearly 6 years now. When I first started I cleaned out my pantry and gave away everything that I knew I shouldn't be eating. I live alone, so I don't have other household members that would want to keep a supply of junk foods. If you don't live alone, maybe you could confine all their junk foods to one specific place, out of sight out of mind, so you don't have to be tempted by them. And when I'm out and about, and think about stopping for a little treat, I just remind myself that I only eat at meal time, no snacking between meals, and that those little junk food snacks aren't worth it in terms of cost, both money and sabotage to my health. If you're tempted to eat junk food just because it's there in front of you, just try drinking a full glass of water or tea, and tell yourself you can't eat anything else for at least 30 minutes. Find something else to take your mind off of food, and 30 minutes later, you likely will be in a better frame of mind, and won't want the junk food. If you still think you want it, try the full glass of water again, and wait another 30 minutes. You probably won't want the junk food by then. Especially if you only wanted it because someone else was eating junk food in front of you. By then they'll be done eating it, and you'll not have to be reminded of it.
