CrystalJo, I have been recently trying to build up my water intake. It wasn't hard last time I lost weight, but this time it's a struggle. 😫
I sometimes add a wee bit of ginger root or mint tea. It helps a bit, but I mainly listen to my body and if it tells me it's had enough, I stop, even if I only reach my halfway point. I used to keep a magnetic pad on my frig and keep a tally or use pretty magnets on the frig to do the same. I don't force it, but do need reminding, so I use a water app. 😃👍 💧

I like to use a straw it helps me to sip all day long, and using crushed ice to keep it cold.

I love 💦. I have seen people portion out a days worth in a jug, bottles, cups, etc. and then you see what you need to do and it is ready and convenient. Just a thought you could try. Maybe add lemon/lime/cucumber or berries to make infused water if you think that may help. Happy Thursday!:)

I have 2 one-liter bottles that I keep in constant rotation. My goal is to finish each of them every day. That, along with my morning coffee and whatever H2O I get from food keeps me well hydrated. I also try to keep my sodium intake between 1500 and 2300 mg daily. That is a challenge even consuming a fresh, whole food diet. There is so much hidden sodium out there!

I never gave water much thought until my first bout of kidney stones. Now I am never without a container of water or sugar free lemonade. I truly miss my sun tea, but not enough to risk ending up in the hospital. What do they say about making something a habit? You can do this!

I'm not much help here. Living in Arizona, I changed my drinking habits almost immediately. I still enjoy the occasional soda, and nothing exists if I haven't had my morning coffee, but I just carry a 24 oz (usually) water bottle with me all day long. I take my morning pills with it, and know that at least once during the day at work I will need to refill it. Same when I get home at night, so that right there is 72 ounces and I've never thought about it once.

I'm a straw girl. When I first started trying to drink more water I would go to the gas station and get a fountain drink cup, fill it with ice and water and sip on that, now I can't live without my 32 oz thermo flask with the straw lid.

I agree on the water consumption. I drink lots because I have an evaporative cooler and the house doesn't get very cool. It was 110 degrees here yesterday. I normally drink at least 80 ounces of water anyway.

I only drink liquids "with" my meals --- no other time. Every meal - I have "one" cup of water. I am not able to process more than 6 glasses of water per day - on top of any additional liquids or water from foods. If your urine is very light pale ale coloured or almost clear - that is excellent --- if it is not light or clear than drink a glass of water immediately. Taking in a constant stream of liquids or foods --- even if low calorie in - each day - a constant stream slows and stops the digestive process. I have my meals - at the table and have my coffee and "one cup" of water - with my meal - I drink my cup of water in the middle of my meal. The body can only absorb so much water at a time - you get "slooshy stomach" if you drink more than the body can absorb.

I personally dislike water ---- I like all of my water strained through coffee beans! I am not kidding.

I finally made it to the 140 pound mark --- you would not believe how much food I had to eat to get there... the last 10 pounds is the hardest.

I love drinking water. It's a habit my grandmother helped me to develop as a child because I just hated drinking milk. Even today, drinking milk just makes me want to gag. Funny, I have no problem with milk based products especially ice cream :) I have a 24 oz glass. If I drink two, I've gotten my water for the day. It's not difficult. I also have green tea daily which I count and have coffee every morning. I couldn't live without coffee. I don't count coffee as part of my water consumption. I've read that it has dehydrating effects. Not sure if that is so but it's the reason I don't count it. I also add lemon in summer to my water. I wonder for those who have trouble drinking water if making and consuming sugar free jello would count toward water consumption. Not sure, just a thought. A person can even make keto jello for more natural route. There are plenty of recipes online.

evansKT1212...crushed ice would help SO MUCH!! I'd have to use my blender to make some, cuz I don't have a dispenser on the fridge. Thanks for stopping by & leaving your comments💙💯
