Just can’t seem to get motivated anymore 🙁
But there’s a tentative visit to Britain this mid-winter to visit my son so I’m hoping the idea of that will get me going. Seeing so many successes each day on here helps me from going completely off the rails - most days - so there’s that 😊

Yes, I was there in the early fall of 2019. I hadn’t planned to go back anytime soon but he keeps asking so I will go again. Sometime.

I’m not a sightseer but I will stay long enough for a proper visit this time. Last time I stayed a week; apparently that’s not long enough.

Motivation Suggestion: Reach 'onederland' in one hundred days! Requirement: loose 8lb so your reach 199 by Sep 22, 2022. Aim for 3/4 lb loss per week. You can do that right Grammalaura???

And if you get bored or curious (both work well for the following), you can take the Eurostar train from London to Paris, even for just a day trip, it’s 2 hrs 15 min only. Or a cheap flight to Barcelona, Venice, or Berlin. Anything you like! The UK is wonderful for everyone who likes walking in the countryside, so if you like that, I think you may enjoy your visit very much.

as someone who has been at a steady pace after dropping 15% of my weight. my motivation is I don't want to go backwards. Maybe make a goal board with reasons why you want to stay the course?

Miss seeing your posts around here, it’s nice to hear from you! I hope things settle down nicely with a pickup in inspiration. There’s a quote somewhere about how success is not achieved by being motivated, it’s achieved with discipline. Something along the lines of you don’t need motivation when you have discipline. I hope this helps with your mindset the way it helps me with mine. 🙂

What was it that motivated you in the first place to get started on this journey? Maybe just try to refocus on your 'why' and set some small goals for along the way 😊 I want to fly to Germany (back home) in the next year and fitting comfortably into an airplane seat is definitely a motivator 😁 Imagine yourself being rested after a long flight, when you get to see your son again in the UK 😊🛩

Sometimes we need to look at it(workouts/healthy eating) like brushing our teeth... If we can make our brain believe it's not a leisurely activity, it's a necessity. Sometimes it works, we just have to continuously bombard our brain with it despite failures .
