I'm callin this Self-Worth Saturday and asking each one of us to take a minute to realize all of our awesome qualities. There's so much more to our self-worth than that # on the scale, that's for sure!!

But since we are all here on FS because we ARE trying to improve our weight, appearance and health...I would LOVE to hear some NSVs today!!! It's SO encouraging every time someone shares how they've noticed positive changes in their behavior, self-image, thinking patterns, & successes REGARDLESS of what their scale says that day😁

OK...I'll start...went shopping for jeans that fit and was AMAZED that I'd gone down not 1 but 2 sizes! Yes, they're the stretchy kind of jeans but by golly...I look great in them!! and the crotch and butt isn't sagging & baggy! So yes...I'm very happy about that today (even though the scale says I went up a teensy bit)...I will choose to celebrate the NSV and minimize thinking about the gain. LIFE IS GOOD!🌷💙🙏👍

My quality of sleep is better with out late night snacking and alcohol. The better sleep in improving my blood preasure. 😁👍

Very nice NSV CJ. I love being able to buy a bit smaller clothes. @Rosie Way to go. For me the alchol and the snacking often go together. My NSV is that my yoga teacher said my positions looked stronger. I am happy about that. In addition to walking and jogging, yoga is my go to exercise so it was nice to hear that I am making improvements

My non scale victory is that I can stand longer, and I don't wake up 3 times at night, and headaches are less frequent because I'm not eating a lot of salty foods often. Yeah!!! I'm very happy about that.

My NSV -- I bought smaller jeans, then discovered I bought them too big because I didn't realize how MUCH smaller I was. Too late to return, as I've worn them, but since they're men's jeans, my husband will inherit them as soon as I buy another pair the next size down

@Rosie...it is amazing to me how much sleep effects our weight! I NEVER knew that before joining FS. But I have kept track and clearly see the correlation 👀 I'm so glad for you Rosie👍💙

well I just started my weightloss-journey but I'd like to share something Im proud of ; I ate so much sweets yesterday and felt like giving up buttttt I just pushed myself up again and yet Im still going...maybe im gonna achieve my weight goal this time!

@writingwyo...that's why I shop at thrift stores!!🤣 The same thing happened to me, but it wasn't too much of a 'costly' mistake that way! When I was shopping there yesterday, I went to the size 12s (kuz that would be the next size down) but when I held them up to my myself they still looked baggy😯 and sure enough the size 10s fit! That might still sound 'big' to some...but it's a flippin miracle in my book!!

Size 10 sounds like an achievement to me, CrystalJo! 👍I do need to get to a thrift store for some clothes, but jeans...I am so, so picky about jeans! They have to be brand new, Levi's men's relaxed jeans for me to be happy with them. Women's jeans don't have adequate pockets, and I refuse to go through life without real pockets!

Thank you for making me think of my NSV, I often forget to do that. Mine is from yesterday - I walked for 9.5 km, half of which I did with 4.5 kg in my backpack (I needed to go pick up something and bring it back home). And I did it in 1 hr 35 min (with a 10 min break to pick up the stuff, which was welcome). There’s no way I could have done that half a year and 11 kg ago. What makes me the happiest is that I love walking, so I will probably be able to walk even more six month from now, and the more I walk, the better I feel physically and mentally.

NSV Non Scale Victories - well - I just do not know where to start - On the listed "Making Progress" - Yes to each one - excepting - NO SUGAR? ---- oh no no - I am not staying here for a minute if there is no SUGAR....If there was no sugar I would have to stop drinking coffee. Thank you for bringing up the subject of "sleep - the fact that you actually charted the weight loss/sleep correlation - I was not aware that you did that - Cool - I am aware that my own body does not lose weight as well when I miss my afternoon nap - today again I missed my nap and for the last 3 days - so Thanks for that and I will be looking at that myself. Interesting.

This is not a Scale Victory at all but it is related to weight loss - whatever! I am happy today - someone gave a 4 part pack of ice cream sandwiches - I have not had ice cream in 2 years - what a big treat - this week - has been the week of 146.2 to 143.8 --- one of those moments ----- NSV = guilt free consumption of not one not two not three but four ice cream wafer sandwiches. lol * I am not using the food as a reward system - nope
