The Truth About Cast Iron Pans: 7 Myths That Need To Go Away

Monday was a up day on the Alternate-Day Diet (eat all I want). I cooked ground up kidney beans in a chili. My original idea was to use them for protein powder, but it turns out it's not a good idea to eat uncooked kidney beans.

Cardio: one hour on the Air Walk Trainer yesterday, plus five minutes every hour to offset the effects of sitting. Steps: 767. My daily average to surpass is 746. My record on the Striiv Smart Pedometer is 1,781.

Time spent on organizing the kitchen to date: four hours, 30 minutes.

I didn't realize you could wash cast iron with soap and not lose the seasoning. I don't think I've got mine seasoned well though - I think I'll scrub it good, then go through the seasoning process several times. Love cooking with it.

Interesting article - I too held some of those theories and don't have any cast iron.
