I've been working so hard to follow this kidney diet and I got my test results back today. ALL my numbers have gone up! I tried so hard and my kidneys are just getting worse. So I splurged and had two cheeseburgers for dinner. The first one was turkey and tasted awful. To me, the smell of turkey meat and turkey guano are indistinguishable. So then I had a beef burger to get the taste out of my mouth and this time I added ketchup. 1000 mg. too much sodium and more than 30 grams too much protein. I'm not sure why I thought that would make me feel better. I just feel nauseated and headachy and even though the kidney diet isn't helping, going off it is only going to make things that much worse.

Also, we're out of money and finding low sodium, low protein things to eat is getting harder, so I was just really hungry.
