Always starting drama. Diablo has put you in your place several times but you keep insisting on showing your ignorance. Your gains were mainly water so it makes sense that they disappeared after a couple of weeks. So your theory that a slice of pizza sets people back significantly is nonsense. I lost weight while regularly eating pizza and burgers, among other things, and maintained that weight loss. Now maybe stop embarrassing yourself and trying to provoke people who know way more than you do and have been at this way longer.

Just because you can't stop at one slice doesn't mean everyone has that problem. When I wanted to lose weight, I stopped at two slices and balanced my macros for the rest of the day. It never stopped me. Stop projecting your disordered eating onto everyone else.

There are foods I am addicted to so moderation with those doesn't work. I learn this from my husband who stopped drinking alcohol. He can never drink it again because it is an addiction. Certain, mostly fast, foods I can never eat again. I do accept it is a disorder, but moderation with those doesn't work. For me it is not worth going backwards with my goal.

Silent, you don't know what works for you long term until you have reached and maintained your goal for a while. Until then, you're still not sure. Practice makes perfect.

Abstainers and moderators can both be successful. I have no issue with anyone who chooses to abstain from certain foods. The problem is when you assume this is approach is the only one that works. What is easy for you won't be easy for someone else. By now, we have decades of evidences that for many people, abstaining completely from some foods only works for a few months, maybe a year before they eat something forbidden and go off the rails because they never learned to incorporate it into an overall healthy diet and lifestyle and think in absolutist terms. For many people, moderation is a lot more manageable. Maybe a slice of pizza causes you and some others to overeat. Cool, avoid it if you must. But don't go around picking on others who choose to have an amount that works for their calorie budget and tell them it's going to derail their efforts. People like you had me in the group of "resolutioners" for years, always feeling bad I couldn't stick to super restrictive eating. I got the body I wanted and my health too when I stopped listening to those dumbasses.

yes, I understood that was for E. My comment was for HK3. He clearly struggles with food fear and should probably work on that. That doesn't mean he gets to spread those fears. We're all ignorant about some things and have our issues to work on but until you've done that, don't be the self-appointed coach/tough love daddy/whatever glorified role you see yourself in. Try not to act like a RD or someone who specializes in behavioral science if that's not your job. These stupid posts and comment are annoying, wrong and potentially harmful.

I often eat an entire (from frozen) pizza and I've lost over 20kg.

Willie are you trying to cut carbs? Healthy foods like whole grains, nuts, fruits, non starchy veggies, etc have lower glycemic loads.

Magpiezoe…I can actually picture a healthy pizza diet that had whole wheat crust, fresh tomatoes, not too much cheese and a hefty amount of veggies and lean proteins as toppings. Pizza doesn’t have to be shit food, but most of it is cooked in pans filled with oil. Little Caesar’s and Pizza Hut and anything cooked in a deep dish with a cup of oil, are terrible compared to something you can make at home. Go NY style. Is that a fair compromise?

Shoot I actually make a fantastic NY style pizza at home from scratch with high gluten flour, San Marzano tomorrow’s and Grande mozzarella…at this point it’s probably not that bad for me. Some of you have seen my zucchini pizza…maybe I’ll make a whole wheat crust NY style pizza and share it here.

You can get fat free cheese low cal and high protein… great for huge pizzas/pizza wraps/ salads whatever…one of my staples I stock up on a bit expensive but all (healthy) alternatives are
