Weight down 1 pound. Inches down 1.5...It is a loss, but geez, I seriously think something is wrong with me. Someone who burns as many calories as I do should be losing more if you subscribe to the old calories in vs calories out theory, which I really don't after reading Gary Taubes and Drs. Eades and Dr Atkins and the rest of the experts. I suppose I'm living proof that the old chestnut of calories in calories out doesn't work that way. Still, I can't be too unhappy because there was quite a bit of drinking over the weekend, although nothing like "old times" as well as a few meals out where I had to trust the restaurant's word about what goes into their food. Also, my experiment of not logging food or exercise. So far it seems it really isn't making a difference with me. Yet. The experiment continues.

Chest--41" -- 40.5" -- 39.5"--38" -- 38"

Waist--36.5" -- 35" -- 35"--34" -- 33"

Hips (ugh)--45.5" -- 44" -- 44.5"--44" -- 44"

Thigh--27" -- 27" -- 27"--26" -- 26"

Grateful for:
losing 9.5 inches and 8 pounds since the start

Not Grateful for:
ONLY losing 9.5 inches and 8 pounds since the start which was OVER 5 WEEKS AGO!

Hey now, what's the problem? 1-2 lbs a week is the max you want to lose if you're being healthy about it. You're doing so well. More than 1lb a week. It takes a long time - which seems so unfair because if you're like me it seems like it piles on you very quickly... and then takes months to get rid of. Anyway, you are doing great, keep doing what you are doing. And in fact, I think you are proof that calories in/calories out DOES work - just not as fast as you'd like I guess.

I wish there was a button in the human body that allowed us to adjust our weigh to our mood, unfortunately that hasn't been created yet so we are kind of screwed. However; I think you are doing great, 1 pound a week is pretty good if you ask me. Maybe up your food intake a bit and see, but if your anything like me you have to build serious muscle mass before you see any kind of major change in your weight. Now breathe and start a fresh week!
