Walking is easy, cheap, anyone can do it, no equipment needed except a good pair of shoes and you can use it as a social activity and include friends, family and kids. I walk all the time at varying different paces— I walk at the pace of the slowest person I am with. It supports their better health and mine. I have a million places that I take people to walk or hike, some more challenging than others— like hiking into the hills on a full moon night to drink hot cocoa or hiking down into a ravine in Los Angeles— there is a 1000 step staircase to execute— where there is an old abandoned villa that was a Nazi headquarters during WWII .
