(39.5% 170.8) I gained a little weight this morning. I had some ugly hypoglycemia much of yesterday, after a breakfast of oatmeal with pb and honey. I don't think honey agrees with me so well. At least not in anything more than tiny doses. Then at my brother's family's going away party I had half of a Wendy's frosty and two slices of not-so-tasty pizza. This made my blood sugar feel a lot better, believe it or not, but I KNEW the scale was not going to reward me for that... and of course it hasn't.
So Jeff and Traci and Gavin are off on their way to North Carolina. I am sad and I miss them. It is (extremely) fortunate that I am madly in love, because my brother's family is a huge part of my life, and without my boyfriend I'd be not just sad but also really lonely. The timing is fortuitous, so I'm reminded that all is playing out in the world as it should. I'll miss them a lot, but they have new horizons in North Carolina that I can't wait to hear about. And since my brother and his wife are huge computer geeks and perpetual baby photographers/videographers, we keep in touch over the internet a lot more than most families. I can't wait 'til my boyfriend gets back from vacation tomorrow. He is in South Carolina visiting
his nephew. In the future, perhaps we can visit our siblings and nephews together.
