196.8 today, slowly going back down after my temporary spike. Those temporary spikes are to be expected, and don't normally bother me...the timing on this one was annoying though because I'm traveling this weekend and will be eating out a lot. I'm being a slave to my "official weigh in", which will be the day after I return from my trip. I have to work on that...concentrate on the being healthy part, and let the weight loss just happen as a side effect of the overall process, not letting it become my focus.

Feeling a little better today, although congestion is lingering. I'm about to get my workout done and then get shopping done for my trip. For dinner, I think I'm going to pick up some chicken and bell peppers to make a little stir fry of some sort. I've had a hard time creating my menus this week, usually it's easy for me to fill in my meal plan but I keep drawing a blank lately....think I need to search for some new recipes to keep it interesting.

Enjoy your travels this weekend and good luck eating out. The healthy choices aren't always easy unless you have a set game plan. Is it possible to bring things with you in a cooler? Are you driving?

I thought I might take a few things. Our hotel has free breakfast...at the very least I can get fruit there. Might take my sugar free syrup so I can have a waffle, or take my own oatmeal and use their hot water. I know we are eating at a pizza buffet once, I will try to eat mostly from the salad bar and have one or two small slices of pizza. Fuddruckers is a hamburger chain we will probably eat at...they have wheat buns as an option, as well as turkey or veggie burgers, and sweet potato fries or fruit cups as a side. It won't be optimal eating, but it should be okay in a pinch. I should be home by around lunchtime Sunday, so one meal Friday, all day Saturday, then one (two tops) meals on Sunday. Will take some fruit for snacks. The room has a refrigerator!
