Boy did I get a shock. I was given a low carb. sheet by the Air Force. I have been eating way too many carbs. That is what is causing my fungus under my toe nails. So I am going to try to do better.

It’s true. It was probably a lot of sugar and carbs. It happened to me in the hospital last year. Both admissions I was pumped with a ton of Prednisone without a tapering down until I was discharged. I was mostly on 60 mg a day but I believe first 2 were IV steroids at a higher dose. I developed a yeast rash in multiple places under my breasts, both sides of my groin, under my tummy. It was really painful and angry. The steroids drove up my blood sugars. The second stay it made me ravenous for food.

I am anxious to see what happens. I went over again today because of mac and cheese. I will get on top of this. Said it would take about 2 months as they nails grow out. It is a wonder I haven't had yeast infections, but don't ever remember one.

Candida? My ex hubby had it in his groin. He cut out all sugar incl fruit until it was under control. I have a patch on my head that get itchy, flaky and a bit swollen when I eat too much sugar!!!

I almost refrained from sharing this because it's gross but then again, you mentioned fungus so it's on the table. I use to get 'boils' - haven't had one in months. I'd read those were caused by high sugar. So maybe not carb related... just sharing.
