I googled "goth waffle" and found tons of pictures of black foods -- ice cream, drinks, breads, pastries -- made with activated charcoal. One article spoke of an LA ice cream sop and said that AC has health benefits, but another news item that said that NYC had banned its use in food. The only use I'd heard of was for treating ingested poisons...
