Happy New year Everyone!! A question to some of you who have lost weight, is the most important thing to count your calories or exercise more or both?

If u lift weights, wow the shape of ur body will definitely shape for the best n cardio is a waste of time (unless u have heart problems)

Both. Does a doctor tell you to lose weight or exercise? Usually both are important for good health.

counting calories has worked for me in the past. I lost 15 pounds in 2 weeks and was consuming 2000 calories of healthier foods. For snacks i would have nuts, dark chocolate, occasional chocolate milk. weightlifting benefited the weifhr loss but bot as much as cardio.

Both are important. It's really just basic math. If you eat more calories than you burn, you will store the excess, if you burn more than you eat, you will use up the excess. That's basic 9th grade biology. Everyone has a different metabolism though so while I can eat 2000 calories a day and maintain the same weight because I exercise A LOT. But someone else who does NOT exercise could only eat 800 and still be unable to lose.

Don't worry about the number on the scale as much as the way your clothes fit. While a calorie deficit does account for weight loss, you shouldn't cut an extreme amount. That will slow your metabolism and the amount of calories your body Burns just to function.. not to mention your body needs those calories and nutrients for energy. EXERCISE IS IMPORTANT.. building muscle helps promote fat loss. Cardio helps burn those extra calories.. Be smart with what you put in your body, LIFT WEIGHTS, and do cardio to help get rid of those extra calories.

Also be sure to stay hydrated! You can lose weight without a calorie deficit. You just have to put in the extra work. Whoever this rosio lady is is full of herself😂 you don't know more than doctors or fitness professionals.
