I have been on levothyroxine for two months, can't tell any difference and I have not been sticking to my plan, Keto. have gained weight😔. Not sure how to proceed with low thyroid. Anyone have any suggestions?

low thyroid is tough. it takes at least 6 weeks to begin to get your levels adequate with supplementation. Be sure you're taking your meds on an empty stomach, at least 1 hour before or 2-3 hours after eating and /or taking vitamins. When do you go for your blood retest? I take supplementation due to having my thyroid irradiated. I found that I can only use brand name Synthroid, generic levothyroxine does not provide me with good effect, I have to take nearly 4 times the same dosage to have my TSH within normal limits.

Thanks, I do take first thing in the morning, usually don't eat for 3-4 hours after taking it, have never been a morning person, first meal of the day is between 11-2 depending on when I get up😊. I have always been a night owl, to bed around 1-2 up around 8-9.
