I've been eating non-stop all day long and I'm still under 1400 calories. Lately I've felt hungry and I think that I wasn't eating the "right" foods that fill me up. Today I've eaten a bunch of 100 calorie or less foods and then ate whatever I wanted at dinner and it seems to have worked. I'm losing, so I think I needed to get my body to understand that I wasn't going to starve it :) I certainly have enough fat reserves left to keep myself going for awhile!

A little exercise, too -- walked the dog and mopped the kitchen floor. Now to play video games.

It's funny, but lowering my calories really doesn't help me lose weight. When I keep at about 1500-1600 a day I lose consistently.

Do what works for you! 😁. I stated losing very slowly, gained it back, lost it again etc. Upped the calories to what my sedentary maintenance should’ve been and I started losing slowly again. Still only 1-1.5# a month but I’m okay with that for now. I also try to have a high calorie day each week. I think they call it refeeding. So if I have a whole week where I’m fairly low then I’ll pile on the calories toward the end of the week. That’s the ‘cheat day’ I guess. But I don’t cheat on my diet with certain foods because I eat whatever I want just smaller portions. If I want pizza I have to make room in my calorie budget for it. You are doing very good Pam! If 1500 is where you lose then enjoy it ;). If you need ideas to up the calories just ask and I can give you a ton of ideas as I’m a snacker haha.

I'm a snacker too, Pepperjj -- I'm trying to snack on healthy things, not junk, which helps.

Yes the reason I pick the better option is because it will keep me full

I can maintain weight eating Twinkies all day but I don’t cause they won’t maintain me full and satisfied

You cannot keep your body on starve mode with 100 calories of snacks. You will lose muscle and not fat. Eat a nourish breakfast to get that metabolism going 30min after you wake up. When you eat take a 10min walk, even if you have to take out the trash 3 times. Then eat your 100 cals after and before 7pm. If you get hungry eat an apple. The apple is a great source of fiber and aids in losing weight while you sleep. Now I know when they say “eat an apple a day keeps the doctor away” 🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️🤦🏻‍♀️ Just an input I’m sire people on here will disagree with me.

Can't eat apples or most other fruits as a snack. The sugar in them drives cravings and they leave me with groweling stomach and hunger within 30 minutes. Only protien snacks stick around longer for me. Each of us is different.
