One step at a time! I recommend that you start with food planning because that will get the most results. Take your time, pick some snacks to have between meals, like popcorn, and get that going first before working out. If you are motivated to exercise, do something simple like take a walk for 20 minutes, something that you can control but is not painful. good luck!

When I’m not motivated, which is 99% of the time. I just do it. I stick to the plan no excuses

It helps me to think of food as fuel. Tracking the macro nutrients and finding fun ways to save calories during the day so at night I can have a small treat. (Like peanut butter or healthy cereal)

if its too much, start small! theres no reason to 'bite off more than you can chew'. find one thing to cut from your diet or add to it for a set amount of days/weeks. congratulate yourself when you are successful, be kind to yourself when you fail. change doesnt happen or has to happen overnight. you got this. i believe in you

Just remember, it take take a day or two for you to put it on and it isn't reasonable to expect it to disappear faster than you put it on. Stay focused

I had to make a commitment to myself and then set the goals to get there. both short and long term. Some days are easier than others but there is a group of supportive people here that have helped get over the low spots. I wish you all the best on your journey.

Take this one day at a time and track, track, track every bite you eat. You can do this!💪

Comes down to counting calories, and carbs. Also don't sweat it, nobody is perfect. Just watch what you eat as the main meals, cut back on portion size and walk lots of walking. Which is the best thing you can do overall.

I find it easier if I put in tomorrow's food today and just make myself stick to my menu. Also, when I'm feeling like I want to eat junk food, I think of the amount of time it will take for me to reach my goal (I figured out an end date as a goal) and it seems (and is, really lol) so far away. So then I tell myself, ok, you can eat it, but then your end date will be even farther away.

A simple step in the right direction is to stop any snacking or drinking beverages with calories between meals, and limit meals to no more than 3 in a day. And give up all sodas, even diet, if you're in the habit of drinking them

That is good advice there LPBeachBaby. I’m gonna try that. 🤔

Yes definely figure out what you are gonna eat. I am 60 yo and believe me it takes courage to stay away from junk food. Start by cutting out drinks with sugar, then bread and pasta. I like zucchini spirals ( feels like you are eating pasta). I know it's not easy. We are here to support you

I am 41 years old, and I have been overweight most of my life, but recently I am been hurting a lot in places that never hurt. When the scale read over 300 this weekend, I knew it was time. Luckily, I have an overweight husband & we are working together. For me it really has been about logging EVERYTHING I eat, even though I just started yesterday, & being cognizant of not eating. Find the balance for you! Prepared foods (bagged salads, canned chicken, prechoped veggies) cost more, but if you eat them instead of something else that’s a win!

Easy does it! Don’t look at it like the whole elephant that it might seem to be sometimes. Make a few small but solid decisions and what you are definitely going to curb first. Then, read up on some good low-carb foods that you wouldn’t normally prepare for yourself and find a couple of recipes that look interesting. Do you know how many calories your body needs in a 24 hour period? Find out bye looking up any calorie counter and them start by maintaining those calories and just start tracking and shaving off a few calories every day. If you are starting on the keto diet, I can tell you that there’s really no exercise required in the beginning. Good luck!
