My husband was admitted into the hospital yesterday, CHF and possible pneumonia. He is a diabetic, diet controlled. The idiot hospital knows this. here's what they fed him for dinner tonight: sliced turkey, cornbread dressing, carrots, a white flour roll, 2% milk, fruit, angel food cake, sugar for iced tea. Then they wanted to give him a shot of insulin later because his blood sugar was too high. Seriously, they fed him enough carbs in that meal to make anyone a diabetic. what idiot came up with that menu? What are they teaching the nutritionists these days, how to create a diabetic in one easy lesson? No wonder we are all fat and sick. He told them where to stick that insulin shot and I asked to have a talk with their dietician tomorrow. Just insane!
