While I'm up with insomnia, I thought I'd post this entry. I hope this doesn't affect my general level of exercise, but I think I am going to have to make a new rule: no vigorous exercise in the evening. I seem to get involved in things all day and the when I'm at a good stopping point I want to exercise at 8 or 9 or even sometimes 10. Where I live it would not be the best of ideas to go out walking at that hour, so instead I dance, which is much more intense. Then a couple-few hours later, I get hungry. And hungrier. And hungrier. So that I am up ruining my sleep patterns and eating at night when my metabolism is not at its best. Exercise makes me SO HUNGRY! Also I cleaned all day so that might have been part of it.

Earlier today around 3 I was totally pooped. Again, the not enough food (or protein, not sure which) kind of pooped that I had yesterday. But I listened to my body and got back on track. I've been losing the focus that I had a week ago. Its so easy to fall back into old patterns. I won't do it, though!

thanks, zhanice! yeah, I hate it!! I know they say its supposed to help you sleep, but it doesn't seem to work that way for me. I'm going to try this out and see if it helps.

The common rule is try not to exercise within 2-3 hours of going to bed. I find it hard to get it in before then, but it really helps me to sleep better.
